A £50 million Appeal was launched in October 2006 to fund a major conservation and development project at the Cathedral. This massive but inspiring project will bring together centuries of skilled craftsmanship and modern technology to result in a Cathedral restored and fit for our future generations.In this section you can learn about the background to the Appeal, what the money will be spent on and the scale of the costs of some of the projects, the experts behind the conservation work and very importantly how you can be involved in and support the Appeal.
